AwareAvani

AwareAvani shares ideas and inspiration to tackle social and environmental challenges. AwareAvani encourages sustainable values to inspire conscious choices in our communities. The name AwareAvani is a merge between the two words aware/awareness and the name Avani, meaning ‘Earth’. AwareAvani was officially established August 2018, and they released a documentary named Exploring European Ecovillages in 2022.

Erika Brun

Erika Brun (29) grew up in Trondheim, Norway. She has done a bachelor’s in ecology and natural resource management at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. With her love for coffee, Erika has worked as a barista and believes that some of the best conversations start over a good cup of coffee.

 

Most of all she believes in the intrinsic value of nature, and would like to do her part to reconnect people with our natural surroundings.

Irene Moe

Irene Moe (30) grew up in Holmestrand, Norway. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology specializing in the field of ecology, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She also has a master’s degree in International Environmental Studies from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. The topic for her master thesis was community-supported agriculture (CSA) in Norway. CSA can, amongst other things, be linked to various ecovillages.

 

Irene is especially interested in human-nature relations and solution-oriented approaches helping to tackle social and environmental challenges.
